Born in Tashkent and raised in Ufa, Irina Shilnova is a self-taught photographer currently based in Lisbon.

Her creative journey began in her teens with a passion for film photography, which has since evolved into a deep artistic practice. Her work is an attempt to ‘draw’ through observation, reflection, and analysis, completely immersing herself in the process.

Moving to Portugal and navigating a new culture shifted her focus from capturing raw moments to working with conceptual ideas. Today, she continues to experiment with different shooting techniques to find the right visual language.
