Welcome

Irina Shilnova is interdisciplinary artist, works with photography, collage, paper-mache and drawing.

Her creative journey began with a passion for film photography, which has since evolved into a deep artistic practice. Moving to a new country became a focal point for structuring her creative ideas and marked the start of her transition from documentary to conceptual photography.

She explores the limits of environmental resilience and searches for a balance between nature and the human-made environment. Through her photography, she engages in a dialogue with space, aiming to capture the beauty of natural forms and the scale of human impact on them. In each work she focuses on the process of self-reflection and searches for visual metaphors.

Her work is an attempt to draw attention to the beauty often missed in the daily rush, inviting the viewer to reflect on the value of the moment and on life itself.
