This series of photographs was born during a leisurely walk through a well-familiar landscape, without any expectations or preconceived ideas of the result. The tranquil surroundings helped me disconnect from internal anxieties and the outside world, opening up a space for creative self-immersion. With such feelings and a total acceptance of the world, familiar things are seen differently.
Thus, the chaotic lines of eroded soil left after prolonged rains were no longer perceived as a consequence of the elements’ destruction, but rather as an awakening of nature—the water unearthed hidden treasures once concealed by man. Extraordinary rock formations, with various pigment and structural variations, were quite literally right under my feet.
In the process of digital adjustment, I immersed myself in a visual exploration of color to further emphasize the extraordinary nature of the terrain and its transformation into abstract canvases.
